With over 10 years of experience, he has the skill and tools to set your instrument up to play effortlessly. Each instrument is repaired or set up to the player's specifications. All work is guaranteed.
How it works
The Repair Process

Assessment
Every repair starts with a thorough inspection of the instrument. Clifford identifies the issue, discusses the options with the customer, and gives an honest estimate before any work begins.

Repair & Setup
Whether it's a crack repair, neck reset, fret work, or a full setup, each job is done by hand with care and precision. No shortcuts — every repair is done right.

Fret & Action Work
Frets are leveled, crowned, and polished. Action is set to the player's specifications so the instrument plays effortlessly up and down the neck.

Final Inspection
Before it leaves the shop, every instrument is played and inspected. All work is guaranteed to meet the customer's specifications.
Guitar Lessons
Learn to Play
Clifford Calhoun IV offers one-on-one guitar lessons out of the Driftless Music Shop in Elroy, Wisconsin. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to sharpen your technique, lessons are tailored to where you are and where you want to go.
Clifford draws on over a decade of playing folk, blues, and Americana to teach students of all ages and skill levels. Lessons cover fundamentals like chord shapes, strumming patterns, and reading tablature, as well as more advanced topics including fingerpicking technique, music theory, improvisation, and playing by ear. Students are encouraged to bring the music they love — lessons work best when they're built around what you actually want to play.
Lessons are available in-person at the shop or by arrangement. Beginners are welcome. All ages accepted.
